Play date...

Ashlyn had her first play date today with her friend Tuesday Bandy. Tuesday was born 2 days after Ashlyn and she was a few weeks early herself. They enjoyed a little tummy time, drinks (bottles) and some girl talk:)

It wasn't that Ashlyn ever had her days and nights mixed up- she just didn't want to sleep! We tried every possible place for her to sleep but her favorite was sleeping on someone's chest:)

First Holidays

For Ashlyn's first Halloween she was a lady bug and a very cute one at that:) We spent Thanksgiving with Great Grandpa Inman and Ashlyn and Grandpa made quite the pair napping. Christmas we started the day at Grandad's and Gramme's (Bruce & Brenda) then traveled to Great Grandpa Inman's for breakfast and more gifts. We ended the day at home with even more gifts and dinner. Great day but very long!

Visitors

When Ashlyn came home she had 2 brothers (Odin & Gus) very excited to meet her. In the following weeks she had several family and friends come by to see her. Papa, Cody, Grandad, Brea & Uncle Tim.

We thought we would start from the begining... well the begining of when Ashlyn Elizabeth made her grand entrance into the world. Sarah developed Toxemia and Ashlyn arrived via c-section at 33 weeks and 5 days gestational weighing in at 3 pounds 8 ounces and 15 3/4 inches long. Ashlyn had to stay in the NICU for 17 days and as heart breaking and hard as it was to leave her there each night we knew she was in the best place possible if it wasn't with us. Since Sarah had received a steroid shot to develop Ashlyn's lungs she just needed to bulk up a bit:) On August 30th Ashlyn got to come home and in these last 5 months we have realized what the true meaning of princess is!
