Dixon James Inman

Sorry it has taken two weeks to introduce our newest member of our family. Dixon James arrived on December 1st weighing in at a whopping 9 pounds 6 ounces and was 21 1/2 inches long, very thankful he was born via c-section! Ashlyn is doing very well with Dixon so far, for the most part she will give him some kisses here and there and then go back to doing her own thing. Dixon's name comes from his great-grandpa Inman, Dixon means "son of Richard", and James comes from the Myers side. So far Dixon seems to be a fairly laid back little guy, lets hope he sticks with that:)

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween! Ashlyn decided to be a monkey this year for Halloween and even did some really cute monkey noises for us:) We went to the pumpkin patch and she had such a great time picking out a pumpkin (which she calls balls) and watching the animals that they have there. Hope everyone had a safe and fun Halloween!

Sorry it has taken so long to update and add pictures. Here are some pictures from the last couple of months. Ashlyn is doing great and we are 4 weeks away from welcoming our newest addition. Hope everyone is doing well.

Happy Birthday Ashlyn!

We celebrated Ashlyn's 1st birthday a few days early at Great-Grandpa Inman's house. Ashlyn got lots of really great gifts and loved digging into her cake! Today was her actual birthday so we took the day off of work so that we could spend the day with her and to get her pictures taken, she wasn't very happy about being bothered with something like pictures on her birthday:) It is so hard to believe that one year ago today we were blessed with our very tiny princess who has taught us so much and forces us to slow down and enjoy life!

It's a boy!

We just found out that we are expecting a boy! Ashlyn was very relieved to find out she won't have to share her princess title:) Everything is going great and we can't wait to meet the little guy, but that doesn't mean he can come before December!

First Camping Trip

Ashlyn had her first camping trip and she seemed to like it. She had a tough time figuring out why nobody would put her down but pretty soon she was taking full advantage of being carted around:)

Poor Ashlyn had to spend her first 4th of July sick. Still not exactly sure what it was but it had her down for a few days. We felt a little guilty for enjoying all the snuggle time we were getting while she wasn't feeling good. She is back to her normal self chasing the dogs and cat around the house:)

Birthdays!

Patrick turned 30 on July 2nd! We celebrated his birthday the weekend prior, that's where he got his really pretty hat from Aunt Kathy:) Kodey was also one of the many people in our family that had a birthday the first week of July, he turned 16! Watch out he's going to be out on the road:) Happy Birthday Kodey & Patrick.

Happy Father's Day!

For Father's Day we went to Crescent Lake for the day and of course had to get some Manley's to eat at the lake:) It was beautiful, so much better then the rain! Ashlyn and I took Papa, my dad, to lunch on Saturday and she loved the mashed potatoes. Hope everyone enjoyed their Father's Day as much as we did.

Big sister!

That's right... Ashlyn is going to be a big sister! We couldn't be more excited about our upcoming addtion to our family. As of right now the due date is December 8th. We are almost to the 15th week and managed to dodge morning sickness again, thank god!

Happy Mother's Day!

I had a great first Mother's Day! Ashlyn talked Patrick into taking us out to breakfast and then to the nursery to pick out some new trees. Hope everyone had a good one as well!

9th Months Old!

At Ashlyn's 9 month check up she weighed 15 pounds 8 ounces and was 25 1/2 inches long, still a little small but the doctor was very happy with her. Ashlyn is on the move and poor Odin and Gus haven't been able to take a peaceful nap since:) We had dinner with the Braunger's the other night and Ella and Ashlyn had a great time playing together and giving each other hugs!

8 months old!

Today Ashlyn turned 8 months old, I can't believe how quickly time has gone by! She is now weighing a little over 15 pounds and she will be crawling before we know it but for now she gets around by rolling everywhere:) We have been very busy lately, Kodey is a sophmore this year and playing baseball, Ashlyn doesn't like to miss any games. We hope everyone is doing well, sorry it took so long to do an update!

Happy Easter

Ashlyn had a great first Easter. After we went to church we went back home for a small Easter celebration. As you can see it didn't take Ashlyn long at all to have her Papa wrapped around her finger:)

Picture time!

We had Ashlyn pictures taken again when she turned 6 months old last month. The pictures turned out great, I'm sure she isn't going to appreciate all the naked shots though when she's older:) Last week Ashlyn turned 7 months old (can't believe it!) and she is now sitting up on her own along with figuring out that if she rolls she can actually get places.

Play date...

Ashlyn had her first play date today with her friend Tuesday Bandy. Tuesday was born 2 days after Ashlyn and she was a few weeks early herself. They enjoyed a little tummy time, drinks (bottles) and some girl talk:)
